We are currently hiring for four full-time and permanent positions as Rubber Tire Harvester Operators. The starting date for these positions is as soon as possible. The primary responsibility is to operate a rubber-tired single grip Harvester for harvesting and processing logs. Applicants must have several years of experience in this role, along with experience in steep slope operations and cable winches if necessary.
To be considered for the position, applicants should possess the following skills, education, and work experience:
Mechanical skills are required.
Knowledge of tree harvesting regulations is required.
A minimum of 3 years of work experience in single gripping is required.
A minimum of 3 years of work experience in selective cut is required.
Experience in steep slope operations is necessary.
Experience in cable winch operations would be an asset.
Specialization in commercial thinning is preferred.
Ability to assess site and terrain and operate heavy equipment on steep slopes.
Capability to perform minor repairs and maintenance on logging equipment.
Skills in operating a forwarder would be an asset.
High school education is required.
Proficiency in English is required.
The wage for this position is $34.00 per hour for 40-50 hours of work per week. Benefits will be provided after a 3-month probationary period.
