The transmission was serviced by VW 2 years ago, and there's a trickle battery charger for cold weather. However, there are some known issues: 1) The check engine light is on due to a lean condition (likely an air leak), 2) The transmission shifts slowly into drive or reverse (probably due to aging internal seals), 3) The passenger side heated seat doesn't work, and the driver's side only works on high. 4) There's a slight exhaust leak on the flex-pipe.
